After a stressful year, local cosmetologist hopes to provide a place to relax
AUGUSTA, Ga (WRDW / WAGT) – As people continue to come to life before the pandemic, a local cosmetologist says she wants to provide space for people to relax before they return to what we consider normal.
From manicures and pedicures to facials and body waxing, Breanna Gilliam says she wants to continue to provide new ways for people to relax as we move into a brighter future.
“I mainly do facial and wax more,” said Gilliam. “I want you to forget about work, whatever you do when you walk out the door.” Forget it and relax.
She says that as people strive to pick up pieces and regain a sense of normalcy, she wants to provide a space to enhance beauty and a room to decompress.
“Go away happy to leave better,” said Gilliam. “I think the pandemic has been overwhelming for a lot of people. Take care of yourself first, sometimes some people need to remember this.
She says that last year, so many people were looking for ways to switch off.
“I did more facials on men than on women,” explained Gilliam. “The men were trying to pamper themselves and they wanted these steam treatments.”
She says that as we continue to move forward, she wants to continue to provide services that renew appearances and restore spirits.
“Everyone needs a break,” said Gilliam. “I like people to feel beautiful and happy.”
She says that in an effort to prepare you for a new trip, she wants you to leave feeling like a new person.
