Fast service: Bumble Lane Spa owner Casey Little is teaming up with Baton Rouge entrepreneur Guy Faulstich to open a new spa in Perkins Rowe, adjacent to the Shades Sunglasses store, the mall announced today. Bumble Lane Beauty Bar, which opens this month, offers professional makeup, hair removal and facials. The Beauty Bar, unlike the main Bumble Lane location on Jefferson Highway, will provide walk-in services which typically take around 30 minutes, according to the ad.
On the rise: The average price of regular gasoline in the United States has jumped 6 cents over the past two weeks to $ 3.02 per gallon. Lundberg Survey industry analyst Trilby Lundberg says the increase came as crude oil and ethanol costs also rose. Ethanol must be blended by refiners with gasoline in accordance with federal rules. The price at the pump is $ 1.05 higher than a year ago. The highest average price in the country right now is $ 4.16 per gallon in the San Francisco Bay Area, while the lowest average remains in Baton Rouge, at $ 2.55. Read the full story.
