Edith had many passions, including spending time not only with her own grandchildren, but also with others. She was a loving nanny to many other children. She also loved shopping and being able to give loved ones the latest toys and items on Christmas, birthdays and Easter. Edith had an incredible memory and never forgot a birthday, anniversary or vacation. She loved Betty Boop, amassing a large collection of memorabilia over the years; play freehand poker and solitaire, as well as complete word puzzles, dance and listen to music. Some of his favorite artists were Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson and Al Greene, to name a few; some would call this music “oldies”. Edith loved to read, especially the Bible, and watch Hallmark movies. Edith was proud to be a manicurist, even giving some of her granddaughters their first manicures.
Edith was a hard worker and loved to be of service, whether helping her own family or volunteering with different organizations such as the hospital gift shop or the Ventura County Fair. She loved her sports; baseball and football were his favorites. Go San Francisco Giants! Sorry, Dodger fans!
Edith was a loving mom, chick, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, niece, nina, cousin and friend who will be dearly missed, but leaves behind many warm memories that we will cherish.
