Lovely Nails is back and more beautiful than ever! | Back to business
Over the past 11 years, one message the Lovely Nails team has wanted to pass on is to thank all loyal customers. Co-owners Lan Ha and Tham Ngyuen say Lovely Nails is “back and more beautiful than ever”. The lounge reopened in April, and staff look forward to welcoming guests to a newly renovated building equipped with all the safety features needed to do business during a pandemic. “I’m so happy and relieved (to be open),” Ha said.
The new salon space includes separate and properly remote manicure stations. The building owners have installed a new ventilation system which ensures that the air inside is fresh and properly ventilated. Last year, however, was one of “just waiting” for an unexpected business challenge after the next one for Lovely Nails in Longview. Like most businesses in Washington,
the nail salon was closed for nearly four months in 2020 under a coronavirus-related warrant from the governor’s office. Then, just three months after operations resumed in June, the store caught fire overnight and everything inside was destroyed. “The property was completely closed and had to be completely rebuilt from the ground up,” said Jan Dalen, a long-time customer and friend of the owners. “They have dealt with the insurance company, with the owner of the building, with COVID-19.” “Because they are practical people and need to be so close to their customers, this (pandemic) has made everyone aware of how fragile people are,” said Dalen. “They have always been very concerned about keeping things clean and maintained to the highest standards.
