Nail salon under the fire for an ingenious manicure that uses live fish

Getting their nails done is normal, although there are groups that go to extremes to stand out and stand out. Unfortunately for Nail Sunny, a Russian-based franchise, their unusual nail work has once again sparked controversy.
This time around, their special manicure featured a tiny fish in aquarium-like nail work. Dubbed the aquarium manicure, it wasn’t all right for PETA. It was deemed sad and stupid by PETA director Elisa Allen.
âThere is no excuse for pulling sensitive fish out of their natural habitat and confining them to tiny man-made enclosures – let alone those attached to people’s fingernails,â they said. âMost people would be horrified to see these little animals floating helplessly in stagnant water.
In the clip seen on Instagram, the aquarium manicure begins with a technician preparing a client’s nail before adding a silver glitter polish. From there, the nail tech creates a miniature aquarium by adding a long acrylic tank to attach to another. Five live fish could be seen swimming in a shallow container, one of which was removed and poured into the tip of the false nail. Overall, the small space makes it difficult for small fish to move around. A false nail is attached to complete it.
After a few seconds, the fish is returned to a plastic container followed by the others. The clip ends with all the fish placed in a plastic bag and then transferred to an aquarium. The video, viewed over 184,000 times, included a caption indicating that the fish were unharmed and returned to the pet store.
Regardless of that, the clip has not escaped criticism. Some were concerned about the condition of the fish while others suggested that some may have been rendered dead.
This is not the first time that Nail Sunny has pulled off such a blow. Before that, they used dead shrimp in manicures, aside from creepy designs that made the nails look alive.
