Buff City Soap, a national handmade soap company with more than 100 locations across the country, opens at Newport Plaza at 92 Carothers Road. The soap retailer replaces The Original Mattress Factory at this location.
The growing franchise company offers herbal soaps made on site in what it calls “fabrications.”
Founded in 2013 by a couple from Tennessee, a former paramedic and a registered nurse, the goal was to create soaps without harsh chemicals or animal fat. While the business has grown rapidly in recent years thanks to the investment of a capital growth company, the emphasis remains on manufacturing small batches of various soap products at each location.
The company offers hand and bath soap, but also laundry soap, body butters, shower oils, bath bombs, facial care products, animal care products and accessories. bath. Because soaps are made in-store, customers have the ability to personalize the products and watch them being made. The stores can accommodate birthdays, bachelor parties and similar events.
No opening date has been announced, but the façade is already in place and work is underway at the company’s new location, nestled between Hothead Burritos and Luxx Nail Salon in the plaza, located at 92 Carothers Road .
The brand also offers an online store and a subscription box service. For more information, see the Buff City Soap website.
