Ulta Beauty opens 3rd store in Staten Island
STATEN ISLAND, NY – Ulta Beauty – which offers more than 25,000 beauty products in 600 brands – opened its third location on Staten Island on Friday at The Boulevard mall in New Dorp.
The national beauty retailer joins ShopRite, PetSmart, LA Fitness and Marshalls, which have already opened in the new $ 180 million mall formerly known as Hylan Plaza.
In addition to selling a line of beauty products, the new store includes a full-service salon with hair, skin, eyebrow and makeup services. The company also offers a popular loyalty program, which allows shoppers to earn one point for every dollar spent on products.
Ulta Beauty opened its first location on Staten Island in Charleston’s Bricktown Commons in 2015. It opened its second location in the borough in 2018 at the Staten Island Mall in New Springville.
After ShopRite launched on the Boulevard in October, PetSmart, LA Fitness and Marshalls opened in the new mall last month.
As part of the finishing touches on the 356,000-square-foot multi-level mall, an abstract sculpture by artist David Boyajian, which depicts dancing seedlings springing from the earth, was installed on site last month. Kimco Realty, the Long Island-based developer of the new mall, dubbed the sculpture “Renaissance” to signify the “rebirth” of the mall.
